The world’s best female surfers will return to Lower Trestles this year for the upcoming Swatch Women’s Pro.
Stop No. 7 on the 2015 Samsung Galaxy World Surf League (WSL) Championship Tour (CT) holds a competitive window of September 9 – 20, 2015 and will be webcast LIVE on WorldSurfLeague.com and on the WSL mobile app.
The event made history last year as the WSL Top 17 took to the cobblestone shores for the first time thanks to the support of Swatch, who have announced their continued support of the event through 2017.
With just four events remaining on this year’s CT, the Swatch Women’s Pro will be a crucial stop in the hunt for this year’s world surfing crown and an opportunity for surfers to gain vital points towards requalification.

Swatch Womens Pro Trestles 2014
Universally-regarded as one of the most high-performance waves on the planet, Lower Trestles peels across a rocky coastline. The left is a quicker, hollower, punchier wave, while the right is longer and more even-paced. The break is a perfect platform for the world’s best female surfers to showcase their skills and push the limits of high-performance surfing.
Courtney Conlogue (USA) comes into the event as no. 1 on the Jeep Leaderboard for the first time in her career after back-to-back wins in Margaret River and Rio. Currently just 400 points ahead of her closest rival, two-time WSL Champion Carissa Moore (HAW), Conlogue will be keen to extend her lead with a strong result at Trestles.
The event could also see the much-anticipated return of reigning six-time WSL Champion and defending event winner Stephanie Gilmore (AUS) who has been absent for the last three CT events due to a knee injury sustained during a freesurf in Margaret River.
The Swatch Women’s Pro Trestles will be held from September 9 – 20, 2015 and runs in conjunction with the Hurley Pro at Trestles, event No. 8 on the men’s CT.
